AlvernoEMP – For faculty and staff
AlvernoSTU – For students
AlvernoGUEST – For guests and visitors

AlvernoEMP and AlvernoSTU

These secured networks provide access to internal “on-campus” resources and allow for continuous connection (no need to reconnect every 12 hours). To use these networks:

Upon connecting for the first time, you'll be prompted for your Alverno username and password
After that, you should remain connected unless:
- Your password changes
- You manually forget the network
- Your device registration expires

AlvernoGUEST

For guests and temporary visitors:

Requires a guest wireless account (username and password)
Prompts for login every time you connect
Times out after 12 hours of connected time, regardless of activity
Provides internet access only — no access to internal resources like shared drives
Not secure or encrypted; network bandwidth is limited
Do not process credit card transactions on this network; it may not comply with PCI-DSS 3.2 standards
