Alverno Virtual Tour

We are bringing the campus experience to you! While these videos won’t give you quite the same feeling as when you are on Alverno’s campus, we hope these give you both a look at our spaces and a glimpse of the options you will have to learn, live and grow as an Alverno student.

Welcome
Alverno is one of the largest Catholic women’s colleges in the nation, empowering women to discover their greatest potential. Enjoy discovering what makes Alverno different from other schools.

Our Classrooms
So what does learning at Alverno look like? Small classes, thought-provoking discussions, in-depth projects, and group work and presentations. You’ll be immersed in a world of continuous assessment — from faculty, business and community leaders, your peers, and yourself — and you’ll be amazed by what you discover as a result.

Nursing Simulation Lab
Interested in our nursing program? Alverno’s Nursing Simulation Lab will give you the hands-on experience of a working nurse before you reach a hospital or clinical setting.

Austin Hall
From late-night study sessions to lifelong friends, our two residence halls - new students live in Austin Hall - are so much more than just a place to sleep.

The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception
Our Catholic, Franciscan heritage is an important part of who we are, but we nurture a community that is diverse in faith, spirituality and denomination. Students of all faiths are invited to take part in Campus Ministry, weekly meditation and other social events.

La Verna Commons
Food, friends and fellowship. Located next to Hudson’s, our cafeteria, La Verna Commons is a main hub for eating, studying, gathering and enjoying activities and entertainment.

Athletics
Alverno is home to seven NCAA Division III teams: Basketball, Cross Country, Softball, Golf, Tennis, Soccer and Volleyball. More of a spectator? Come out and cheer on the Alverno Inferno!

Library
This is the place to go when you’re looking for a book or online media, need help with research or just want a quiet place to study. Our reference librarians can recommend source materials and help you access them from our library or other libraries.

Main Street
Alverno’s Main Street is a main thoroughfare of offices in Founders Hall with staff who can help answer questions and provide support, including the Career Studio, International and Intercultural Center, Student Activities, Student Affairs, Advising, Admissions, Financial Aid, Center for Academic Excellence and the Registrar.

Inferno Cafe and A-Store
Whether you are looking for a coffee or snack, a new notebook or Alverno apparel, the Inferno Cafe and the A-Store are two destinations on our campus worth repeat visits.

Get ready for a bright
future
