A welcoming space for faith, reflection and community
Alverno's Campus Ministry offers a welcoming place to pause, reflect, ask questions and build community. Rooted in our Catholic Franciscan values, we support those of all faith traditions,
spiritual backgrounds and life experiences as part of Alverno's commitment to an inclusive campus.
Many faiths, traditions and backgrounds are represented on the Alverno campus. Campus Ministry invites students to reflect on their purpose, explore questions of meaning and consider how they
are called to serve the world around them.
Whether you are looking for prayer, service opportunities, meaningful conversation, grief support, spiritual guidance, interfaith dialogue or a quiet space to breathe, Campus Ministry is here
for you.
Our Mission
Alverno College Campus Ministry fosters the spiritual growth of students, faculty and staff through prayer and liturgy, service and social justice education,
retreats and spiritual conversations.
Rooted in the Catholic tradition and inspired by the charism of St. Francis, we invite people to reflect on their faith journey, their gifts and the
world’s needs.
We welcome and accompany persons of all faith traditions.
Events & Engagement
Ways to Get Involved
Pray and reflect
Attend Catholic Mass, ecumenical or interfaith prayer, devotions, discussion groups and retreats. You can also find quiet in sacred spaces on campus, including the Chapel of Mary Immaculate and the Meditation Room.
Serve others
Take part in service opportunities that support the Alverno community and the broader community.
Build community
Join Bible studies and conversations that connect faith with contemporary experiences. You can also come to open office hours for spiritual support, direction, discussion or prayer.
Share your gifts
Volunteer as a lector, server, cantor or Eucharistic minister, or offer ideas for activities and spiritual needs of the Alverno community.
Weddings at the Chapel of Mary Immaculate
The Chapel of Mary Immaculate is available for Catholic weddings for members of the Alverno community.
The Chapel of Mary Immaculate is not a parish, which means a couple must have their own Catholic priest or deacon and home parish to complete preparation for the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
Please complete the wedding inquiry form to begin the process.
Need spiritual support or someone to talk to?
Campus Ministry is here to listen, pray and walk with you through questions, challenges, grief, discernment and everyday life. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to schedule a conversation or stop by during office hours.
