Let us protect each other from the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). If possible, please email or phone our office for the services we provide rather than coming to campus.
We provide computing resources for Alverno students, faculty and staff, including computer facilities and labs, as well as a wide variety of technical support and resources
for students and faculty/staff.
Student Laptop Checkouts for Spring 2021
Alverno College has a limited number of laptops available for semester-long checkout for students. We are asking that you only request a laptop if you are in great
need. Once
you submit your request, you will receive an email within 48 business hours letting you know if your request has been approved or not.

Tech Topic
Tech Services has been publishing a Tech Security Awareness Topic of the Month in AlverKNOW and on the Tech Services website. These topics are selected from free OUCH! security
awareness newsletters published by the SANS Securing the Human team.
The contents of these articles are for informational purposes only. Alverno Technology Services believes that better informed computer users are more secure computer users. OUCH!
articles may suggest solutions that differ from established College security practices. Often, this is because computing in a home environment is less secure than computing in an
institutional environment like we have on our Alverno network. If you have any questions concerning the information contained in these articles, please contact the Alverno Service
Desk.
Please note that regular system maintenance is routinely performed Saturday nights, 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. once a month. Dates and times are subject to change
based on activities and needs of the College. Students, faculty and staff will not have access (including remotely) to network services such as printing, network drives, email
and IOL. There will be no wireless or Internet access from on campus.
