Campus ID Cards

All new students and employees of Alverno are issued their first Alverno College identification card at no charge. The ID card is intended to be used the entire time you are associated with Alverno. For purpose of identification, students and employees are encouraged to carry their identification card at all times.

The ID card is required for services in the Library and Media Hub and may also be required for other college activities and services. ID cards may be used for appropriate educational discounts and admission to facilities at other institutions, etc. Money can also be deposited on the ID card to purchase items in Dining Services. These funds are called Inferno Dollars.

There are two ways to obtain a student or employee ID: Visit the Dean of Students Office (FO 119), or submit your information online.

Photo Submission Guidelines

• File type: JPG
• Dimensions: At least 2" x 2" and 640 x 480 pixels
• Maximum file size: 5 MB
• Must be a clear color photo of only you against a solid light background taken within the last six months.
• Must show you looking straight at the camera (no side profiles).
• Must show your full face, the top of your shoulders to the top of your head, with some blank space above your head.
• Avoid using the camera's flash if possible. If not possible have someone take the picture a couple feet away and adjust the camera's zoom.

The following are not allowed:

• Other people, animals, props, objects, outdoor settings, etc.
• Sunglasses or tinted glasses
• Hats or scarves (unless for religious reasons)
• Filters, emojis, stickers, etc.
• Scanned driver's license or other school ID photo
• Severe shadows, flash reflections or red eye
• Funny faces (natural smiles only please)

Name change or damaged: Free with return of old card; $35 without return of old card

Nursing Clinical Badge

New photo, stolen* or lost card: $25

Name change or damaged: Free with return of old card; $25 without return of old card

* Stolen cards: A replacement card will be provided at no charge if a Campus Safety or Police Report is shared upon request.
