Employers that meet Alverno College’s online recruitment requirements can share full-time, part-time, seasonal, internship, volunteer and shadowing opportunities with Alverno students and alums through 12twenty.
Please note that jobs based in a private residence, including personal caregiver, babysitting and tutoring positions, will not be approved.

Attend a Career Fair
Alverno hosts career fairs for students and alums and participates in regional career fairs coordinated through the Wisconsin Independent & Private Colleges Career Consortium (WIPCCC). Employers interested in participating can register through 12twenty or contact the Career Studio for details.
Recruit an Alverno Intern
Hosting an Alverno intern gives your organization an opportunity to gain a fresh perspective, develop future talent and connect with Alverno students and faculty. Alverno students are prepared for work by the rigorous training of Alverno’s Ability-based curriculum. Your intern will be supported by faculty from their discipline department for the duration of their internship.
How to Offer an Internship
- Review Alverno’s requirements for internship employers (see below).
- Identify a professional project or ongoing work and create a job description that includes the skills a student will need.
- Post the internship in 12twenty well in advance of the semester. We recommend posting in January for summer and fall internships and September for spring internships.
- Review resumes from interested students.
- Interview and select an intern.
Employer Responsibilities
Internship mentors are expected to orient the student to the workplace, clearly explain assignments and expectations, provide necessary resources and ongoing feedback, participate in a mid-semester check-in and complete required internship documentation and evaluations.
Internship Documentation Requirements
- A description of the student’s work at the site, completed by the mentor
- A description of the student’s learning goals for the site, completed by the student
- A midterm evaluation, completed by the mentor and reviewed with the student
- A final evaluation, completed by the mentor and reviewed with the student
