Emergency Alerts

In the event of an emergency, effective communication is crucial for ensuring a prompt and coordinated response. Please familiarize yourself with Alverno's emergency communication procedures, designed to keep everyone informed and secure during any unforeseen circumstances.

Alerts will be communicated in the following ways:

• SMS text message (via Rave Alert)
• Phone call/voicemail (via Rave Alert)
• Email (via Rave Alert)
• Campus digital signs
• Network computer pop-up alerts

Emergency emails identify the situation and the action to take. Alverno also sends an email when the situation has passed or the all-clear is given.

Rave Alert

Rave Alert is Alverno's emergency notification system that allows you to quickly receive emergency communications and other important information via SMS text message, phone call or voicemail, and/or email. This includes the initial alert, situational updates and all-clear messages announcing an incident's conclusion.

Students and employees are automatically enrolled in Rave Alert to receive voice, email and SMS text messages.

Please ensure your Rave Alert information is up to date each semester.

How to verify your information registered with Rave Alerts

1. Go to the Rave Alerts login page.
   The web browser address is: https://www.getrave.com/login/alverno
2. Log in with your Alverno network username and password.
3. On your My Account page, you will see sections to add Mobile Phone Number(s) and Voice Only Line Contacts. To add a phone number, click Add and follow the prompts.
4. After adding a number, you can Test, Edit or Delete.
5. Parents/significant other numbers can also be added by clicking the Add button.
6. Scroll down and click Submit Changes.

How to disable Rave Alerts

1. Go to the Rave Alerts login page.
   The web browser address is: https://www.getrave.com/login/alverno
2. Log in with your Alverno network username and password.
3. Click the Red X icon to delete any Mobile Phone Number and the same for the Voice Only Line Contact Number you would like to remove.
4. You can also opt out of SMS text messages by texting STOP to 67283 or 226787.

Rave Guardian App

Students are encouraged to download the Rave Guardian app, available for iOS and Android devices. Log in with your Alverno credentials to access safety tools such as:

Emergency Preparedness and Testing

Emergency notification systems are tested during drills each semester and monthly within the Incident Response Team. Drills other than fire drills are announced for the day they will occur.

Be prepared! Save the Campus Safety phone numbers in your phone and download the Rave Guardian App (see above) so you are ready if you need help.
