About Safety and Security Department
Founded in 1993, the Department of Campus Safety serves the Alverno College community 24/7/365. The department today consists of 9 full time personnel including the Chief/Director, Captain/Assistant Director, two Sergeants and five Officers. The department is also aided by on-call officers and volunteers that assist during larger events on campus. This professional and dedicated staff strives to ensure that a safe learning and working environment exists for all students, staff, faculty and visitors to the campus. The department is responsible for responding to all incidents involving a potential violation of College policies, a criminal act or a medical emergency.
The combined Alverno College Campus Safety staff have more than 40 years of dedicated service time on the campus.
