Ready for the next step

Congratulations on your acceptance to Alverno College!

It's time to design your future — to learn new things, explore your passions and seize new opportunities. It's time to build a solid foundation for your career and get ready for wherever your path takes you.

The next step in your Alverno journey is enrollment — and we're here to guide you through the process. Check out the resources below to begin.

Your Next Steps

1

Activate your Alverno network account and Alverno email

Your college network account gives you access to email, the Self-Service Portal, Brightspace and more.

  • Your Alverno network username, email and temporary password can be found in your acceptance packet or acceptance email.
  • To activate your account, you will reset your temporary password and register for multi-factor authentication. Follow these instructions to activate your account.
  • To access your Alverno email, visit outlook.office365.com and enter your Alverno email address and your new network password. Check your email regularly — you'll receive important updates on financial aid, registration, billing and more.
2

Complete your financial aid application

The 2025-2026 FAFSA is open! Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the most important step to receive financial aid to pay for college. It is your gateway to grants, work-study options and student loans. Because some federal aid programs have limited funds, it is best to fill out the FAFSA as soon as it is available.

Include Alverno’s school code (003832) in your application.

You can find information on how to file your FAFSA here. If you need additional assistance filling out the form, click here.

Once your FAFSA and any required documents are processed, you’ll receive an email notification when your financial aid award letter is available in the Self-Service Portal.

3

Reserve your spot by paying your enrollment deposit

Confirm your place at Alverno by paying your $100 enrollment deposit through Alverno's Self-Service Portal. This deposit is applied toward your tuition. To make your deposit, log in with your Alverno username and password and navigate to Student Finance.

Once we receive your deposit, watch your Alverno email for further announcements about orientation.

4

Apply for scholarships

Explore the possibilities of scholarships to help you realize the goal of an #AlvernoStrong education.

Types of scholarships

  • Academic merit-based scholarships: Scholarships of up to $23,000 per year are automatically awarded based on your unweighted high school GPA. These scholarships are renewable for four years.
  • Competitive scholarships: Alverno offers competitive scholarships that require a separate application.
  • Special scholarships: These scholarships have specific requirements but not a separate application.
5

Apply for Housing

Our two residence halls, Austin Hall and Clare Hall, are nestled on 46-acres of lush green space with running and walking paths, picnic tables and places for socializing, studying and reflection. Both halls offer the convenience of living close to classrooms, academic resources, campus clubs and organizations, performances and friends.

You'll also enjoy free parking, a fitness center, meal service and a full calendar of activities and easy access to downtown Milwaukee.

6

Attend Student Orientation and Registration

Alverno’s SOAR is where you learn about registering for classes, social events, ways to find resources on campus and have opportunities to connect with faculty and staff.

There will also be opportunities to schedule individual meetings with our financial aid representatives and events for family members to learn more about Alverno (including Spanish-language family sessions).

You will receive information about SOAR in your Alverno email.

Fall 2025 SOAR dates

Wednesday, July 30 from 12:30 – 5 p.m. | On Campus
