Dr. Frey received her bachelor’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin in biochemistry and molecular biology and her doctorate in cellular biology from the University of Minnesota. She teaches cellular biology, microbiology and introductory biology and also the advisor to students interested in attending professional health school. She is the STEM chair of the Natural Science, Mathematics, and Technology Division and is the pre-health advisor.
Dr. Mernitz received her BA in chemistry (Kalamazoo College) and her MS and PhD in nutritional biochemistry and metabolism (Tufts University). She teaches upper-level biochemistry courses, as well as introductory chemistry, biochemistry, and quantitative skills. She is Chair of the Assessment Council and advises pharmaceutical science majors.
