Mary Kitten, DNP, RN, CRRN

Professor of Nursing, Public Health Program Director

Mary Kitten is a professor of Nursing at Alverno College and director of the college’s public health program. A registered nurse and member of the Greenfield Board of Health, she has been serving as a post-vaccine observer as part of that city’s COVID vaccine distribution. Early in the pandemic she helped with contact tracing and disease investigation. She has been teaching at Alverno since 1995.

Kitten earned her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and her doctorate in Nursing Practice from Alverno College. She is a member of the Greenfield Board of Health, the National Association of Local Boards of Health, the Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards, the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses, and Sigma Delta Gamma at-large.
