Alverno DNP Fast Facts

Choose your specialty track
Our curriculum consists of seven core courses, two scholarly project courses, one to three elective courses, and two clinical practicum courses designed to help you achieve the needed 1,000 post-baccalaureate clinical practicum hours.*
Tracks:
- Direct Care (33-38 credits*): For board-certified APRNs with a focus on advanced clinical practice and patient outcomes.
- Executive Leadership (35-40 credits*): For those wishing to hold a formal leadership position within a health care organization.
- Educational Leadership (35-40 credits*): For those wishing to be in an academic type of leadership position. This could be a director of an educational program, dean or a system-level nurse educator. Students in this program may be eligible for up to $40,000 for tuition and school-related expenses through the Wisconsin Nurse Educator Program in exchange for post-graduation employment as a nurse educator in an eligible nursing school or college.

- Graduate students are eligible to apply for loans by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Make sure to select Alverno College — our federal code is 003832.
- Educational Leadership track students may be eligible for $40,000 through the Wisconsin Nurse Educator Program
- Outside private scholarships
