Dr. Bowne received Bachelor's degrees in biology and in humanities from Edinboro State College, a Master's in marine biology from the University of Miami, and a Ph.D. in zoology from the University of Alberta. At Alverno, she specializes in pathophysiology, physiology and philosophy of science.
