Students, faculty and staff donate 280 turkeys to Hunger Task Force
Once again, students, faculty and staff donated money to help purchase turkeys that were donated to Hunger Task Force. This year enough money was collected to purchase 140 turkeys. That donation was generously matched by Food Services Inc., bringing the total number of turkeys donated to 280. It's part of the annual "Cans Across the Conference" food drive, a competition between all the schools in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. For the past six years Alverno has won the competition, despite the fact that there are much larger schools in the conference. Both Fox 6 and CBS 58 came out to cover our donation.
