BIOGRAPHY
Steven Dunn is an associate professor of Religious Studies at Alverno College, where he has taught since the fall of 2010. Prior to coming to Alverno, he taught various religious studies courses at both Marquette University and Cardinal Stritch University. He teaches several courses, including classes on spirituality and society, the Gospels, images of Jesus and ministry.
Dunn is able to address questions regarding the office of the Pope – in fact, when Pope Francis was elected in March 2013, he held a special session in his classes to discuss the papacy. Dunn has given numerous presentations at several conferences and parishes, covering topics from conceptions of death and the afterlife in the Bible to Jesus and his Jewish background to women in the Bible. He’s currently writing a book on divine and human expressions in the Psalms.
Dunn earned his PhD in Biblical Theology from Marquette University in 2009, and received his Master of Divinity from Saint Francis Seminary in 1998.
