Alverno College Will Host Second Annual Spanish-language Open House
Alverno College, Wisconsin’s first Hispanic-Serving Institution, will host its second annual Descubre Alverno, a Spanish-language open house on May 6. Designed for high school students of any age and college students who are considering transferring, the event will include information on the admissions process and financial aid, a student panel and a tour of campus. All presentations will be given in Spanish.
New to the open house this year will be a marketplace featuring over 25 Latina-owned businesses selling jewelry, apparel, ceramics, clothing, beauty products, art, Latin snacks, pastries and more. The marketplace will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to the public.
The event will take place in the Sister Joel Read Center on Alverno’s campus, where plenty of free parking is available. Students interested in registering for the open house should visit this link.
