Designed for both learners and educators, these evening events at Alverno College features the voices of experienced leaders and researchers and focus on the theme “Nurturing Thriving Schools & Communities.”

Whether you’re looking to grow as a leader, connect with a community of educators and learners who "get it," or reaffirm the impact of your work — this is a space to be seen, heard, and inspired.

Join us for the upcoming session of the Suzanne Pieper Teaching and Learning Series: "Mindfulness-Based Regulation Strategies for the Classroom & Beyond" featuring speaker Emily Fleming, MAT, ERYT500, RCYT, Founder and Chief Consultant of Yoga in Classrooms & Schools Consulting and National-Level Conference Speaker.

In this interactive workshop, participants will learn how yoga, breathwork and mindfulness are effective tools for regulation and co-regulation in the classroom. Participants will get hands-on experience learning various mindfulness-based practices, and explore how they can integrate these practices into their own resource bank and their work with students. Through guided reflection, practice, and small and whole-group discussion, participants will identify the importance of regulation and co-regulation, and identify how mindfulness-based practices can be effective tools for regulation and co-regulation, in the classroom and beyond.
