Character Education Conference
Join us for a day of sharing and learning as we explore the important role that character education and social emotional learning play in improving school culture and academic achievement. Through breakout and keynote sesssions, along with pre-conference workshops, participants will interact with like-minded colleagues to share and learn strategies to engage their students and help them develop into ethical citizens.
Call for Proposals
Do you have character development, relationship-building, student engagement, or SEL initiatives that have positively impacted your school community or organization? We invite you to share!
Submit a proposal to present at the 2025 conference. Proposals must be submitted electronically by November 27, 2024, using the Conference Proposal Form.
Preference will be given to proposals that:
- Model integration of character education, socio-emotional learning, culture or climate rather than add-on or standalone programs.
- Provide good examples of how Character.org’s 11 Principles can be lived out. View the 11 Principles here.
- Clearly indicate the two or three ideas that participants will take away from the proposed session.
You will be asked to indicate the content level (beginner, intermediate or advanced) and which of the 11 Principles are aligned to this session.
Presentations must avoid a focus on the sale of particular products. Presenters are welcome to display & sell their products at a complimentary table in the resource fair.
Conference registration will be waived for up to two presenters per session. Instructions on how to register will be provided with notice of proposal acceptance.
