On-Campus Event Series
Funday Monday: Every Monday over the lunch hour, Student Activities Board sponsors fun, interactive events or performers in the La Verna Commons lobby and stage areas.
Main Stage Series: The Main Stage Series features comedians, bands and novelty acts on the La Verna Commons Stage. The majority of events are FREE and open to students and their friends and family.
Trips and Excursions: Student Engagement offers free excursions to sporting events, live theater, movies, shopping, and other destinations. Whether it's shopping in downtown Chicago, cheering on the Brewers, or going on one of our monthly free movie theater trips, you'll have an amazing time and get a chance to connect with other students.
Campus Traditions: Show your school spirit at Homecoming or volunteer on Community Day, our annual day of service. Other campus traditions include Late Night Breakfast and A Senior Celebration.
Community Service: Alverno is committed to civic engagement and giving back to local and global communities. Participate in the St. Ben's Meal program sponsored through Campus Ministry, the Alternative Spring Break trip volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, or sign up for Community Day and give service to one of 30 different social service agencies.

Alverno Campus Food Pantry
Student Engagement staff also support our campus food pantry. The Alverno Food Pantry is available to all enrolled students and offers a variety of non-perishable foods, feminine hygiene, and general hygiene products. If this would be helpful, we encourage students to stop by during our open hours. During academic semesters, students who live on campus should exhaust their meal plans before using the food pantry. The pantry is located in FO G62, below the Commons Lobby.

Tuesdays 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. and Thursdays 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
