LACCS 2020-2021 Schedule and Information

The 2020-2021 LACCS learning community is now forming. Sessions meet monthly from September of 2020 to May of 2021.

Sessions combine guest speakers, best practices and experiences with ongoing reflection. There will also be dedicated time and coaching for your school or organization to develop or refine a character education plan.

Guest speakers are chosen based on feedback from participants and projected needs of each learning community. Session have included national speakers on leadership, moral and performance character development, relationships, restorative practices, mindfulness, trauma-informed practices, service learning, culturally responsive practices, and other social emotional learning topics.

We are excited to announce that this year’s speakers will include Dr. Marvin Berkowitz,  Dr. Sharroky Hollie, Clifton Taulbert, and Scarlett Lewis.

LACCS will be fully online for fall of 2020. Should we return to in-person sessions in the spring, participants will have the option to continue online for the full year.

Enrollment is limited and by application only. Superintendents, principals, assistant principals, executive directors and their teams of 2-6 members are encouraged to apply.

Financial assistance is available to schools that qualify.
