Exchange students nominated from partner schools can attend Alverno College for a semester or one full academic year. Students will live on Alverno’s campus and are eligible to take classes in most of our majors; some courses may need pre-approval from the instructor. Explore courses here.

Students coming from countries where English is not an official language must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores with their application.

Resources

The IIC is pleased to support international exchange and degree-seeking students with the following:
  • The application and admissions process;
  • Offering to pair students with an American host family;
  • Assisting students with navigation, academic advising, campus services, and community resources;
  • Coordinating activities on and off-campus for international students;
  • Creating educational experiences to foster cross-cultural dialogue and understanding between American and international students; and
  • Assisting international students with maintaining their visa status and understanding the federal regulations.
