Luci Staudacher, MSW, LCSW

Luci Staudacher is an associate professor of Social Work at Alverno College and the Bachelor of Social Work practicum director. She was instrumental in developing the college's BSW program. In her role, she cultivates and maintains off-campus partnerships for social work practicums, assists with accreditation monitoring, is responsible for the practicum manual, develops curriculum, and teaches core social work courses. Within the Social Work department, she is the faculty advisor to the Alverno College Association of Social Work student organization, she serves as the chair of the Field Consortium for the Wisconsin Council on Social Work Education and serves on the executive committee. As a licensed clinical social worker, she presents continuing education trainings at professional conferences.

Staudacher has over 30 years of experience in the social work profession. She has developed extensive expertise in trauma-informed care and professional self-care. She won the Unsung Hero Award in 2012 for her clinical work with Latinx survivors of sexual violence and she received the Voices of Courage Award from the Wisconsin Coalition on Sexual Assault for her work in child sexual violence prevention in 2015.

Staudacher earned her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Mary University, double majoring in Social Work and Behavioral Science. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a concentration in child and family welfare. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the nationally known Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors Association (BPD). Staudacher also serves as a member of the Wisconsin Hispanic/Latinx Tobacco Prevention Network of UMOS and is a member of the Prevent Blindness Wisconsin Public Health Committee.
