Cameron Overton is an assistant professor of social work and the program director for Alverno’s substance abuse counseling program. He is also the director of the college’s Master of Social Work program which he helped develop. Prior to coming to Alverno, Cameron worked as a Drug Treatment Court Coordinator for Milwaukee County, and has experience as a Recovery Support Coordinator and Family Case Manager. His areas of expertise include trauma-informed care, alcohol and other drug addictions, criminal justice reform and equity and inclusion.
