Advanced Clinical Improvisation Music Therapy Webinar

by: Alverno College

Advanced Clinical Improvisation is a course that will provide students opportunities to explore music-making in ways that improve their own relationship with music, to be better present in the music they create with individuals receiving music therapy treatment. This course is for those interested in further developing their own philosophy of music-making and those with a desire for understanding more about the improvisational process as it relates to life and clinical processes. It is also for people who are feeling stuck in their own clinical musicianship and looking for ways to set their creativity free from judgement.

Dean specializes in treating adults in oncology and individuals with mental health concerns (specifically those with eating disorders and personality disorders). Dean is the Music Therapy Internship Director with Levine Cancer in Charlotte and an Advanced GIM Trainee in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery & Music.
