Dean of Students Office

The Dean of Students Office serves as a central resource under the Division of Student Development and Success for student support, engagement and campus life. Whether you need help navigating a challenge, finding campus resources, getting involved or understanding college policies, our team is here to help you succeed throughout your Alverno journey.

Located in Founders Hall 119 across from the Inferno Café, the office works closely with students, faculty and staff to foster a welcoming, respectful and supportive campus community.

How We Support Students

The Dean of Students Office can assist with:

• Connecting students with campus and community resources
• Helping resolve concerns, conflicts and student grievances
• Providing support during personal challenges or crisis situations
• Addressing reports of bias, harassment, sexual misconduct and student conduct concerns
• Promoting student engagement, leadership and co-curricular involvement opportunities
• Supporting campus inclusion initiatives and student belonging
• Providing guidance on college policies and procedures
• Coordinating major student milestones and traditions including New Student Orientation and First Year Experience

Services

Campus ID Cards

The Dean of Students Office issues campus identification cards for students, faculty and staff. IDs can be processed in person during business hours or electronically.

Student Support and Problem-Solving

If you're facing challenges inside or outside the classroom, the Dean of Students Office can help. Staff members provide guidance, referrals, advocacy and assistance in navigating concerns that may affect your success. Limited emergency financial assistance may also be available for eligible students.
