Refugee students share their personal stories at Alverno College

There are many families right here in Milwaukee who have had to flee their homeland and start over again. Whether they were escaping war, poverty, disease, or natural disasters, their stories of fear and hope are an inspiration. Students from South Division High School shared their personal experiences as immigrants and refugees at the second annual "Voices of Refugees" event. Nearly 50 students from 10 different countries took part in the event, and 88.9 Radio Milwaukee featured them in one of their Community Stories.
