Alverno grads cash in with fresh one dollar bills from U.S. treasurer at graduation ceremony

United States Treasurer Jovita Carranza gave the commencement address at graduation, and then she surprised the graduates by handing out uncirculated dollar bills to each one of them. Carranza's signature appears on all U.S. currency, and these are some of the first bills featuring her signature. It's also the first dollar these graduates are "earning" after receiving their degrees. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel featured the surprise gift online.
