Alverno Forum Celebrates National Women's Business Week

Alverno College will host a forum during National Women's Business Week that celebrates the contributions and the advancements women have made to the workplace. A panel of distinguished speakers will share their experiences, reflect on the strengths and experiences women to bring to business, and address the challenges that many women still face today. They will also provide tips for women, whether they are just getting into business, planning to advance, or want to have it all. The panelists will also examine the psyche of businesswomen and what makes each of them tick. Presenters include:

  • Jessie Leonard, associate director of the Women's Business Development Center in Milwaukee
  • Jennifer Phipps, OR Business Manager at Sisters of St. Mary (SSM) Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison
  • Susan Phipps, Human Resources Specialist at the University of Wisconsin - Madison
  • Adonica Randall, President and Chief Problem Solver at Abaxent LLC and professor emerita at Alverno College

The Alverno Forum series seeks to join community leaders in discussing cutting-edge topics that have a daily impact on the lives of people in our community and beyond. The first discussion in this year's series takes place on Thursday, October 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Bucyrus Conference Center inside the Sister Joel Read Center.
