Alverno College Announces Two New Members of the Board of Trustees

Alverno College is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Trustees: Jackie Q. Carter and Andrew Narrai, both accomplished leaders with deep ties to the Milwaukee community and extensive professional experience.

Jackie Q. Carter is the director of the City of Milwaukee Department of Employee Relations. A 2011 alumna of Alverno College, Carter earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business & Management and Professional Communication, as well as a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Public Administration from Concordia University Wisconsin. Prior to her current role, she served as director of Port Milwaukee, making history as the first woman and person of color to lead a commercial port in Wisconsin. Carter also serves on the boards of the Milwaukee Harbor District, the Wisconsin Marine Historical Society and Project Kindred.

Andrew Narrai is the chief marketing officer at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c., where he oversees marketing communications, advertising, public relations, events and digital marketing initiatives. He brings more than 30 years of experience in brand development and strategic marketing leadership. Narrai previously served as president of a marketing communications agency, and held a senior leadership role at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A long-time officer of the American Advertising Federation — the industry’s preeminent trade association — he currently serves as its national treasurer. Narrai holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a Master of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from Marquette University.
