In addition to competitive scholarships, Alverno College offers merit-based academic scholarships. This means they are determined by your past academic success. Academic scholarships are available for students coming directly from high school and transfer students, receiving up to $16,500 per year.
Nearly 100% of our incoming students receive an academic scholarship at the point of admission.

We’re excited to recognize students with a history of academic excellence, leadership and community service. Competitive scholarships are awarded in lieu of an Alverno academic scholarship.
Roosevelt Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes a first-year student who has demonstrated excellence in leadership. The Roosevelt Scholar will receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to Alverno.
Presidential Scholarship: Recipients of the Presidential Scholarships are chosen from those who apply for the Roosevelt Scholarship. Up to 15 Presidential Scholarships are awarded. $56,000 over four years (or $14,000 per year)

The Clare Scholarship reinforces our commitment to students who understand the multitude of benefits and opportunities provided as a result of a high-caliber, Catholic education.
Clare Scholars receive a $12,000 scholarship per year for up to 4 years (8 semesters) at Alverno. That’s about half the total cost of tuition and a total of $48,000 in scholarships!
Recipients of the Clare Scholarship are:
- Graduates of any Catholic high school
- Students with a grade point average of 2.8 or higher

In addition to having one of the lowest private college tuitions in Wisconsin, Alverno offers a variety of opportunities for financial aid – including grants, scholarships, student loans and student employment.
