The Alverno College Telesis program will close as of June 1, 2015.
Alverno’s Telesis program has had a long and loyal following that has valued the high quality and unique educational approach we have provided; however, Telesis enrollment has declined over time as other adult enrichment options have increased.
As part of Alverno’s ongoing commitment to prudent financial and strategic planning and a community-wide effort to be effective stewards of the college’s resources, we have determined the need to discontinue the Telesis program given the enrollment decline. While decisions such as this one are necessary, they are never easy. A number of leaders and stakeholders from around the college were consulted in making this decision.
We are extremely grateful to the thousands of community members who have participated
in this program, many of them as repeat, multi-class participants, and the hundreds
of instructors who have passionately shared their expertise.
