Kayla Fraley, the Curriculum Writer for the PEARLS for Teen Girls Self-Development Curriculum project, joined the Alverno College Research Center for Women and Girls team during summer of 2012.
Born on the east coast, Kayla relocated to the Milwaukee area with her husband in 2001. Kayla studied special education in Illinois, and is an alumna of Alverno College where she received her B.S. in Elementary and Middle Education. She teaches math and social studies at Whitnall Middle School, where she previously facilitated the Academic Support Center and functions as a member of various building leadership and curriculum writing teams. She is passionate about mentorship, service learning, and helping her students find authentic ways to grow, evolve, and make a positive impact on the world in which they live.
