Alverno College Phonathon

The Alverno College phonathon connects alumnae, parents and friends to current students.  Alverno women enjoy having the opportunity to thank the generous people like you who make the Alverno experience possible!

Students share updates about the College, have the opportunity to tell you their Alverno experience and hear about yours, and raise money for scholarships and resources for students through the Alverno Fund.  When you see "Alverno College" on your caller ID, please pick up the phone - our students are looking forward to speaking with you!

Join us in celebrating 125 years of innovation in education.

I love the social interaction among everyone.  I also love the diversity and acceptance of who you are at Alverno.

Why I believe the Alverno Fund is important:

The Alverno Fund is important because it helps those who aren't able to afford school or those who don't have the resources needed to succeed. It also rewards those who have worked very hard to make it to this point.

Jeanette - Senior

 Major:

Pre-Law and Political Science

Activities on Campus:

Alverno Student Government President for three years

 Future Goals:

My best goal in life is to change the world while leaving my footprint.  While I know that I am just one person, I know that I am capable of great things.  This is why I wish to become an attorney.  I feel that through becoming an attorney, I will be able to change someone’s world, and leave my foot print, even if it is just in a micro manner.

 What I love about Alverno:

I love that Alverno is ‘my college.’  Alverno College has allowed me to flex my leadership muscle and succeed where other colleges would have never allowed me.  At Alverno, not only have I gained an education, but I gained insight into the overall well-rounded person I aspire to be some day.

Why I believe the Alverno Fund is important:

Without the scholarship I receive at Alverno, I would not be able to attend Alverno College, or any other college.  I had nothing saved for college; not because I lacked a savvy financial mind, but because I came from a home without much that could not contribute to my education.  I know that my situation is not rare, but rather it is common.  Without scholarships many students would not be able to have an education.

Why I believe the Alverno Fund is important:

The Alverno Fund has provided me with the means to attend college.  I have seen the plethora of resources that are aiding me in my studies.
