Important Dates and Information
February 21, 2017 – Student Speaker Information Session, 5:30 p.m., FO-146. Learn about auditoning for the role of Student Speaker or Coordinator of Ceremony. Can't attend the session? Stop in Student Affairs, FO 119 after February 21 for an informational packet.
Extra Pitman Ticket Requests – You can request one additional Pitman Ticket. (Please see additional ticket info below before calling.) Requests are not guaranteed. Contact 414-382-6118 to request. Once list is full, we will no longer take requests. Tickets are limited.
April 15, 2017 – Last day to request wheelchair seating or seating for guests who require special accommodations. Note: Pitman Theatre has a balcony. Balcony seats are accessible by stairs only. There is no elevator. If your guests cannot climb stairs, please contact Student Affairs at 414-382-6118 to let them know.
April 1, 2017 at midnight – Last day to order caps, gowns, and tassels. Click here to order. Apparel will be available for pick up at Grad Finale.
May 3, 2017 – Grad Finale, 3:00–5:30 p.m. in the Conference Center. This event is mandatory for all graduates
participating in the commencement ceremony. Graduates not in attendance will be charged
a $25 fee. Contact Student Affairs, 414-382-6193, with questions or if you are unable
to attend. Plan to spend an hour total at this event.
You will be asked to complete a short, electronic survey related to your career plans. Computers are limited so please attend the session that corresponds with the first letter of your last name.

May 17, 2017 – Last day to purchase tickets for the Undergraduate Commencement Brunch.
May 19, 2017 – Undergraduate Rehearsal, 3:00 p.m., Reiman Gymnasium. Cap and gown are not required.
May 20, 2017– Gathering of Graduates, 1:15 p.m., Reiman Gymnasium. Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony, 2:00 p.m., Pitman Theatre.
Cap & Gown
All graduates should order their cap and gown before midnight on April 1, 2017. Orders placed after the deadline will incur a $25 late fee.

Caps, gowns, and tassels will be available for pick up at Grad Finale. The hood will be received on the day of Commencement. Try on your gown at Grad Finale.
Saturday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Celebrate and pray with family, friends, faculty, staff, and fellow graduates in gratitude for what has been and with hope for what will come. Participation from graduates is greatly desired and much appreciated. Many opportunities are available. To participate, contact the Campus Minister at 414-382-6352. Graduates can attend the mass and the brunch afterwards.
The Undergraduate Ceremony takes place in Pitman Theatre. Each graduate will receive 3
tickets to Pitman Theatre. Seating is assigned. Graduates do not need a ticket for
themselves. Note: Pitman Theatre has a balcony. Balcony seats are accessible by stairs only. There
is no elevator. If your guests cannot climb stairs, please contact Student Affairs
at 414-382-6118 to let them know.
Graduates should pick up their tickets in person at Grad Finale. Tickets cannot be mailed or picked up by anyone other than the graduate.
Each graduate will also have an opportunity to receive up to 5 tickets to a satellite theater: The Commons, Wehr Hall, and Lampe Hall are satellite theaters. Guests in these theaters view the commencement ceremony broadcast live on large screens.
All guests need a ticket to enter the theaters. Children under the age of 2 do not need a ticket but must sit on the lap of an adult.
Guests with a ticket to Pitman Theatre arriving after the ceremony has begun may need to wait for a break in the ceremony before being seated. Disruptive guests will be escorted out of the theaters.
Wheelchair seating and seating for guests who require special accommodations must be requested by April 15, 2017. Contact the Office of Student Affairs at 414-382-6118. All guests are required to have a ticket to enter Pitman Theatre.
An all-you-can-eat brunch is available for graduates and guests on graduation day. Graduates receive a complimentary ticket. Tickets may be purchased at the Grad Finale event or in Student Affairs, FO-119, after the Grad Finale. Tickets will not be available after May 17, 2017. Cash or check only. Please make checks payable to Alverno College.

The brunch menu includes egg casseroles, cheesy hash browns, french toast sticks, salad, pasta salad, fresh fruit, assorted danish, doughnuts, bagels, and beverages.
A commencement DVD is a perfect keepsake for graduates. DVD's are available for $20. Complete the form below and return to the Media Hub with payment.

It is an Alverno tradition to have alumnae relatives of the current graduating class participate as Marshals in the commencement ceremony, leading the students, faculty, staff, and trustees in and out of Pitman Theatre. Do you have an alumnae relative you would like to serve in your graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 20, 2017? Please contact the Alumnae Relations Office at 414-382-6090 or email@example.com to submit alumnae relative names for consideration and inclusion in the graduation marshal lottery. Those picked in the lottery will be notified by email.
