- About Alverno
Welcome to the Alverno Family!
We are honored by your trust to educate and develop the young woman in your family. We are dedicated to her success at Alverno both inside and outside of the classroom. The Division of Student Affairs offers many opportunities to engage your student in the Alverno community so she can apply her learning outside of the classroom.
Our Parent & Family Program, coordinated through the department of New Student & Family Programs, was created in 2015 to help you stay connected to campus life and to serve as a resource throughout your student's college experience.
Our team of Peer Leaders is here to help your student’s transition to Alverno be as smooth as possible. We’re her support system, her resource and guide to getting involved on campus. We’re so happy your student has chosen Alverno and we want to thank you for entrusting us to pave the way for the next step in her academic journey.
You and your student are stepping into a small and diverse community filled with possibilities...from student organizations, to Brewers games and comedians, to leadership positions (like being a Peer Leader). The opportunities are endless.
We’ll introduce you to our community and will help you get involved. Ask us questions and join us at events. Whether this is your student’s first time at college or even if she’s tried it a few times elsewhere, welcome home!
I am excited to welcome you to the Alverno community! Your support is important to the success of your student. This is a time of transition for both of you, and you will likely start to move from decision maker to coach and mentor.
As an Alverno graduate myself, I understand the important role you will have in the development of your student as she adjusts to her new learning here at Alverno. I am passionate about student development and firmly believe our ability-based curriculum prepares women for real world experiences.
We offer several opportunities for you to visit campus and to share in your student’s
experience. Welcome to our family.
I look forward to seeing you on campus.
