    Bucyrus Conference Center, Sister Joel Read Center
    3400 South 43rd Street, Milwaukee

    Recent activism by formerly incarcerated people has
    drawn attention to the ways in which punishment continues beyond release. Long after they have served their sentences, many formerly incarcerated
    people continue to be deprived of civil liberties, including having their voting rights suspended,
    experiencing social stigma and difficulty securing housing and employment.

    Please join us for a discussion with speakers who advocate on behalf of the formerly incarcerated, including speakers who have been incarcerated themselves.

    • Jasmine Conway, Trafficking Survivor Advocate
    • Carl Fields, Organizer, EX-incarcerated People Organizing (EXPO); Program Manager, Hospitality Center of Racine;
    • Shanyeill McCloud, Executive Director, Clean Slate Milwaukee
    • Sean Wilson, Smart Justice Organizer, ACLU of Wisconsin

    Moderated by Tifene Brown, Assistant Director, Office of Student Success, Alverno College; former Senior Probation and Parole Agent, WI Department of Corrections
