    Poverty in Milwaukee: Who Can Afford Civil Liberties?

    More than one in four families live in poverty in Milwaukee. In this forum, a panel of local experts will explore poverty’s impacts on civil liberties from the perspective of those who have been incarcerated, victims of domestic violence or in need of health care. Join us for an engaging and thoughtful discussion as we learn how economic hardship can compromise our civil freedom.

    Panelists include: 

    Marilyn Miller, Pastor, Lutheran Church of the Reformation; Chair, Milwaukee Inner-City Congregations Allied for Hope (MICAH) Board of Directors   
    Carmen Pitre, President and CEO, Sojourner Family Peace Center   
    Maria Perez, PhD, Vice President of Behavioral Health, Sixteenth Street Community Health Center
