Educational Outreach

The Assessment and Outreach Center (AOC) coordinates and facilitates assessment workshops and events to share Alverno's ability-based curriculum and model for student learning with colleges and schools around the world. These events include forums, workshops and conferences that are open to the public and implemented throughout the year.

Each summer, the AOC coordinates the Assessment Workshop. In the past decade, the workshop has drawn educators from: Afghanistan, American Samoa, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Chile, China, Costa Rica, England, Estonia, Finland, Guam, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Korea, Maldives, Mexico, Nepal, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, St. Lucia, Sweden, Thailand, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and 40 of the 50 United States.

The AOC also arranges education consultation services with educational institutions, nationally and internationally. Alverno's faculty help transform their theory and practice of teaching, learning and assessment and revise their organization structures.
