Communication Resource Center
The Communication Resource Center (CRC) provides writing, reading, and speaking assistance on a drop-in, appointment, and on-line basis.
The CRC is staffed by Loacker Tutors, nominated to be CRC assistants by faculty because of their success in communication and their ability to work with others. They’ll conference with you and respond to your questions and concerns regarding such areas as prewriting and brainstorming, establishing a thesis statement, developing and organizing ideas, revising, proofreading, and editing. They offer suggestions, but you make the final decisions regarding your assignment.
Located in the Computer Center, Room RC109D, you’ll have access to word processing and other software applications that support writing, speaking and reading processes; you’ll also have access to reserved rooms to practice your presentations.
The CRC is closed for Summer 2018 reopening in the Fall. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Dianne Klebenow at firstname.lastname@example.org
Appointments can now be made using the Alverno student email calendar system. Instructions are on the backside of the CRC calendar – see link above.
A 30-minute on-campus appointment can be scheduled during all CRC open hours.
A 60-minute online appointment can be scheduled during evening CRC open hours. See Online CRC Evening Appointments for details.
