No stodgy curriculum, no boring lectures, no theoretical textbook lessons without real application. With limited enrollment, individualized teaching and assessment methods that focus on each student, a curriculum developed with business leaders, and a distinctive outcome-focused approach, the Alverno MBA offers professionals on the move a better way to learn.
The program was developed by Alverno's award-winning faculty and created for growth-oriented, high-potential women and men focused on becoming the next generation of business or organizational leaders.
We offer a general MBA or an MBA with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Development. All courses are taught by full-time faculty or part-time professionals, and we do not require the GMAT. Required courses are offered every other Saturday on campus. You can join us in fall or spring and can complete our MBA within two years. Electives are offered year-round in the classroom, fully online or in a hybrid format. For students to be able to actively apply what they learn, Alverno requires that all MBA students be employed full time in a business-related or organizational field. Experienced professionals can apply for credit for prior learning.
This program operates in a cohort. The next start is August 2020. If you'd like to start in spring 2020, please contact Angel Brown in the Admissions Office for further information.
This is the most important investment you’ll ever make.
How do you know you can apply?
For consideration in this program, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and have three or more years of relevant work/professional experience. Relevant business experience includes increasing levels of responsibility; line, staff or project responsibility; managerial experience; interaction with management, departments/functions or external audiences outside own area of responsibility.
Is there a way to help finance your future?
Graduate students are eligible to apply for loans. To qualify for a federal loan, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applications can be found at fafsa.ed.gov (use Alverno’s federal code 003832). We encourage all students to complete the FAFSA even if you do not anticipate the need for financial aid at this time. If your situation changes, your information will already be on file.
What about your busy schedule?
Classes meet every other Saturday for eight weeks during the fall and spring semesters.
