Administrative Leadership

Certificate & Licensure Programs

Administrative Leadership

Educators who are interested in taking the step to principal or other administrator may consider the Administrative Leadership Licensure.

With this license, Alverno students learn from their competency with teacher standards to lead by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared by their school community. What's more, the student will learn to manage by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to pupil learning and staff professional growth. These management skills extend to the further organization, operations, finances, and resources of their learning community. Alverno students will enhance their collaborative abilities while serving families and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilizing community resources. As we are part of a global community, Alverno graduate licensure students learn to respond and interact with the larger political, social, economic, legal, and cultural contexts that affect schooling, while ensuring a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.

The Administrative Leadership Licensure at Alverno College prepares students for Wisconsin DPI 51 License.
