Professor Casey studies U.S. foreign policy, 20th Century U.S. history and Latin American history. He earned his doctorate and master's in history from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Casey serves as the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Alverno College.

Professor Eastberg specializes in world history, women’s history and British-Chinese relations. She serves as the Chief Reader of the AP World History: Modern program. Dr. Eastberg, who received her bachelor of arts in history and Honors from Saint Louis University and her doctorate in history from Marquette University, leads Alverno programs focused on academic excellence, research, assessment and outreach.
Nat Godley, PhD

Professor Godley teaches on world history, the Middle East and North Africa, Islam, and migration and race in Europe. He earned his PhD in colonial Algerian History at the University of Iowa; he also holds degrees from the Université Charles de Gaulle-Lille III (France) and Keele University (U.K.). He is both personally and professionally interested in social justice and racial equity, and he serves as a lead legal observer for the ACLU of Wisconsin.
John C. Savagian, PhD

Professor Savagian specializes in early American history and native peoples. He earned his doctorate from Marquette University and a Master’s in Teaching from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. He works with the American Historical Association’s Tuning Project and serves on the executive committee of Alverno’s Council of Student Assessment.
David Brooker
Professor

David teaches courses on the United Nations, Comparative Politics, Coastal Cities and regional integration. He regularly takes students to Chicago for a Model UN and to Poland, Sweden and Denmark as part of the Coastal Cities: Baltic Sea program. He received his PhD in Political Science from Miami University.
