Leah Olson is an assistant professor of nursing in the JoAnn McGrath School of Nursing and Health Professions at Alverno College. She is also the program chair of the Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEMSN) program. She has over 18 years of nursing experience and has been teaching since 2011.
Over the course of her career, Olson has worked in both triage and palliative care, and has given presentations on pain management, mindfulness and infectious disease. She also previously provided health care services to adult men in a minimum security prison.
Olson earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alverno College, her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nursing Leadership from Alverno College.
