Karin Wasiullah is an adjunct professor of Nursing in the JoAnn McGrath School of Nursing and Health Professions at Alverno College. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner and a certified advanced practice nurse prescriber, with over 20 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. She has worked in several speciality areas as an advanced practice nurse, but she has spent the most time in urgent care, family practice and geriatrics.
In addition to teaching classes in the JoAnn McGrath School of Nursing and Health Professions, Wasiullah helped coordinate an inter-professional education program with Concordia University, where she also works as an adjunct professor. The program, which included students from six different disciplines, worked with clients in the Milwaukee County Drug Court and helped to improve the learning experience, enhance team-based care, and improve patient outcomes.
Wasiullah earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Concordia University, her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alverno College. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International.
