The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour, a one-of-a-kind national tour designed to inspire
college students to start their own business, is coming to Milwaukee. BizStarts Milwaukee
and Alverno College teamed up to bring the high-energy event to town. The Extreme
Entrepreneurship Tour, which is free and open to all southeastern Wisconsin college
students, will be held Friday, October 19 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Alverno College
Commons.
“There's no better way to inspire entrepreneurial students than to introduce them
to people who have made a success of it while they were still in their 20s. The Extreme
Entrepreneurship Tour brings them here,” said Eric Paulsen, Executive Director of
BizStarts. “We wanted to bring this tour to Milwaukee to provide more access, networking,
and inspiration for students thinking about starting their own company - and to encourage
them to move in that path. They're our future wealth and job creators.”
The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour, the first and only nationwide entrepreneurship
tour, features interactive panels, workshops and networking. Keynote speakers, all
of whom have achieved success in their 20s, will share their secrets with students
who attend. The tour aims to motivate young adults and give them the tools they need
to successfully start their own businesses.
"Alverno College has a long-standing reputation for community connections and sharing
with other academic institutions,” said Dan Matre, assistant professor of Business
at Alverno College. “We look forward to hosting the ‘Extreme Entrepreneur Tour' and
welcoming hundreds of collegestudents from southeastern Wisconsin who want to learn
more aboutpursuing their ideas that mayspark new businesses."
