21. She’s Riveting!: Brand Lessons from Cultural Icon Rosie the Riveter Sessions are 60 minutes with exceptions noted.

In this session, participants will develop a plan to incorporate tools to create and track a personal brand. The call for women to leave their impact on the workplace can be heard loud and clear in every industry. This empowers women leaders on a mission to fortify their personal brand. We Can Do It!
22. Women Leaders from a Global Perspective (SESSION IS FULL)
Presenters: Rachel Haos and student panel, Alverno College
This panel of international students will share insights about how women across the globe participate in leadership, advocacy, social justice movements and politics to enhance their communities. Participants will engage in an interactive dialogue as part of this session. They will learn about opportunities for women to advocate and lead even in oppressed environments.
23. Student Athletes and Title IX: What Does Gender Equity Really Mean?
Presenter: Brad Duckworth, UW-Stevens Point
This session will challenge attendees to think more broadly about female participation in athletics and what “gender equity” really may mean. It will include a brief history of women in education as a correlates with women in sports, the evaluation of Title IX on college campuses, and implications of Title IX in athletics. Participants will increase their knowledge of Title IX and the powerful impacts of the law. Discussion will center on the need to continue to increase social and cultural capital for student athletes.
24. Women Empowered Through Advocacy, Activism, and Public Office

We have seen the recent and exciting rise of women in elected offices, and high level positions in corporate America. With the upcoming election, women will be at the center of conversations, on the ballot, and on leading the fight for equity and diversity. This session, through the voices of three socially and civically engaged women will explore the diversity in capturing the essence of excellence and how each has elevated their level of activism, and specifically black women to the forefront here in Milwaukee.
25. Empowering and Leading from a Community Organizing Perspective
Session time: 11:00-11:45 a.m.
Presenter: Dawn Helmrich, United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County
This workshop will help empower the audience to take action on something they are passionate about. They will receive tools that will help them get started on organizing or advocating for something they believe in. Participants will learn the steps to becoming a successful activist in their community.
26. Reimagining Creation Myths: Women as Masters of the Universe
Presenter: Pryscilla Balladares, Alverno College
In the session, participants will engage in a table read through of a one act play to challenge the paradigm of women’s roles in western religion and mythology. There will be open dialogue about agency, authority, and power. The play centers around a conversation between God and Lucifer (Lucy) who are good friends.
27. EmPOWERing Her Whilst Moving from Disempowerment
Presenter: Shandowlyon Hendricks-Williams, Continuous Improvement Coach and Consultant
POWER-ful women refuse to allow disempowering beliefs to stifle their progress academically, professionally and personally. POWER-ful women do not allow anything to interfere with our destiny in public life, advocacy or activism. This session will provide participants with the ability to learn about how disempowering beliefs have framed their decision making while examining those disempowering beliefs from various circles of influence. Participants will begin their journey from disempowering beliefs to emPOWERing beliefs.
