The Assessment and Outreach Center (AOC) works to share Alverno's ability-based curriculum and model for student learning with colleges and schools around
the world.
The AOC does this work by:
Managing Alverno's publications that focus on topics
such as student assessment, teaching in an ability-based curriculum, and student learning outcomes.
Arranging consultation services with educational institutions, nationally and internationally. Alverno's faculty help these institutions transform
their theory and practice of teaching, learning and assessment and revise their organization structures.
Coordinating and facilitating events including forums, workshops and conferences that are open to the public and implemented throughout the year. In the
past decade, educators have visited from more than 43 countries and 40 of the 50 United States.
For 2021, our online conference will focus on change through equity, diversity and inclusion. The keynote speaker will be Deanna
Singh. Click the link above for more information.
This comprehensive, hands-on workshop will prepare education leaders to understand and explore learning outcomes, competency-based education,
student-assessment-as learning, and institutional assessment. Click the link above for more information.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the important role that character education and social emotional learning play in improving school
