How to Apply

Complete the Undergraduate Application.  (There is no fee to apply online)

The Alverno College Admissions Office will need to receive the following:

  • Your ACT Score Report (if you are a high school student)

When you take your ACT, you will be able to list ‘Alverno College’ as one of your choices to receive your ACT scores.  When you do, we will automatically receive them from ACT.

If you have already taken the ACT and did not list Alverno as one of the colleges or universities to receive your scores, you may contact ACT directly to have them send us your score report.  (Visit for directions on how to send your scores)

    • Your Official High School Transcript

Your transcript is a report from your high school showing your academic history – your final grades in every course you took from each semester of high school.  We will need an official copy from your high school after you graduate.  This means we must receive it in a sealed, unopened envelope from your school.  (It can be mailed directly from the school or you can bring it in person.)

    Official Transcript Request Form

Contact the principal’s office at your school to request a copy be sent, or you can check with your guidance counselor.  There is usually no fee for your school to send these, but check with your school.  Have transcripts sent to:

After you are accepted, you will be scheduled to take the Communication Placement Assessment.   Once you complete the CPA, you will be invited to register for classes.  The results are used to tailor your program to your individual abilities and to select your initial courses.
