Circle K is a group of individuals dedicated to serving the campus
and community. We are an international organization that is based
on service, leadership and fellowship. We provide our members with
opportunities to do various service projects, gain leadership skills
and get to know others both in our club and others clubs in area

Music Therapy Club
The Alverno music
therapy club is a member of American Music Therapy Student Association
(AMTAS), the profession's national organization. One of our club's
points of focus is to continually spread awareness of music therapy
as a profession. The club participates and provides music at
events such as Breakfast with Santa at Alverno in addition to
performing occasionally at events throughout the community. The
club also plans fundraisers each year in an attempt to defray
costs and encourage members to attend music therapy conferences
at both the regional and the national level

Inside Out, the campus literary journal, is dedicated
to creative self-expression in written and visual forms. All students,

Student Government Task Force
The Student Government Task Force consists of dedicated students
researching the creation of a student government at Alverno College.
The mission of the Task Force is to develop the process of creating
this official student voice on campus to represent the rights, welfare
and interests (academic, cultural, social, and physical) of the
campus student body to the campus administration. All students are
welcome to become a part of this Task Force!

College Ambassadors (Admissions)
The Ambassadors are student representatives of Alverno who work
with potential students during the recruitment process, primarily
by giving tours of the Alverno campus. They participate in functions
such as campus tours, individual overnight visits, Passport to Success,
Open House, Preview Days and Private College Week. Ambassadors create
opportunities for students to show Alverno spirit and meet new people
while having fun.

Ministry Student Staff (Campus Ministry)
Campus Ministry provides opportunities and resources to assist members
of the Alverno community in developing their faith, spirituality
and in supporting one another on their life journey. Campus Ministry
strives to become an extension of Alverno among the alumnae and
in the Milwaukee community, and to address the Catholic and Franciscan
heritage and identity with the multi-faith community of Alverno.

Advisors (CA
Staff - Residence Life Department)
The CA Staff serve as resources, peer counselors and program planners
in the residence hall. The CA’s create community and fun on
campus by developing and implementing programs. They are hired in
the spring through an extensive hiring process and need to have
lived in the hall for at least one year or articulate life experiences
sufficient to waive the requirement.

The Alverno Dance Team is dedicated to building athletic and community
spirit on campus. The Dance Team performs during half-time at
basketball home games and participates in a variety of other
spirit events.

The Mug
(Student Life)
The Mug is a unique student organization and student-run business.
This student-operated coffeehouse provides a perfect place on campus
to hang out, read, chat, and check your email. The talented Mug
staff offers delicious espresso drinks, Ice Rages, Fruit Tea Blasts,
tasty muffins and scones from Wild Flour Bakery. The Mug staff provides
great service, in addition to every other detail of running a business,
such as developing marketing plans, decorating, managing the lending
library, creating publicity, tracking finances, ordering supplies,
completing inventory and more! The Mug staff are paid positions;
volunteers are welcomed!

Board (Programming Activities and Great Events)

Life
The PAGE board creates and implements programs that meet your needs
and interest as well as those of the Alverno community. The PAGE
Board offers a wide variety of fun programs (on and off campus),
leadership opportunities, networking with other colleges and opportunities
to meet new friends and above all, HAVE FUN! Any student is welcome
and encouraged to join the PAGE team, to assist the board in Programming
Activities and Great Events! There are five paid Board positions
and a group of dedicated volunteers.

Peer
Advisors (Advising)
Sponsored by the Advising Office, the WDC Peer Advisors help first
semester students adjust to the college environment. Peer Advisors
must have attended Alverno for at least two semesters, be in good
academic standing, enjoy helping others and remember what it's like
to be a new student. Interested students may apply in the spring
to serve during the following year.

Residence Halls Association (RHA)
The Residence Halls Association (RHA) is the student government for Austin
Hall and Clare Hall. RHA conducts educational, social, cultural, and recreational
programming for both halls. RHA provides a voice for student residents
in our small campus community. It is the duty of RHA to represent resident
students, always keeping their interests in mind. In order to do so, RHA
is a liaison to the office of Residence Life.

Activities Spirit Staff (SASS) -
Athletics
The Student Activities Spirit Staff (SASS) is committed
to raising school spirit and providing opportunities for students
to get involved. SASS is responsible for selling concessions at
home basketball and volley games, organizing half-time, supporting
Alverno’s athletics’ teams, and planning on and off
campus events. There are four paid SASS positions and numerous opportunities
for students to volunteer and get involved!

Advisory Committee (SAAC)

The student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made
up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete
experience. The SAAC offers input on the rules, regulations and
polices that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution
campuses. SAAC is also highly involved in community service opportunities
on and off campus.
