Q: I have the day off from classes, why should I participate?
A: Effective citizenship, giving back to the community, doing something good for others will make you feel good about yourself, it’s fun, you’ll meet new people, and you’ll learn about your community!
Q: What if my whole class or student group wants to go to the same site?
A: Large groups are encouraged, but we recommend you contact Vicki Schreiber, 414-382-6116, in advance to check which sites can still accommodate large numbers.
Q: How do we get to and from the sites?
A: Alverno provides transportation to and from all sites.
Q: Do we have to use Alverno’s transportation?
A: Yes. For liability and safety reasons, everyone must use Alverno’s transportation. If you leave with the group, you must return with the group.
Q: Will I get dirty?
A: Yes. Most of the sites involve cleaning, gardening, and/or painting.
