Business Office
All financial obligations and/or academic holds must be taken care of before graduation.
Your transcript and diploma will be withheld if bills are not paid. If you received a Perkins Loan through Alverno, meet with the Business Office for an exit interview BEFORE graduation by contacting 414-382-6124.
Emergency Loans
Graduates who received an Emergency Loan through the Dean of Students must have satisfactorily taken care of their financial obligations before Grad Finale.
Pending Status
All graduates on Pending Status are required to attend the Grad Finale event. Graduates may pick up their cap and gown, and purchase announcements, brunch tickets, class rings, etc. Graduates on Pending Status will not receive their ceremony tickets. Tickets may be picked up in Student Services after pending has been removed.
August Graduates
Alverno College believes in the value of participation in
the commencement ceremony and the value of students sharing in the event with their colleagues. In order to accommodate this practice, the August graduates march in the following December Commencement. The diploma and college transcript are available after all tuition and fees have been paid in full and the course work is complete. The college transcript is mailed to the graduate. The name of the graduate appears on the commencement program with a footnote indicating the official graduation date. If, for some reason, a graduate is not able to participate in the commencement ceremony, a General Permit from the Registrar's Office must be completed. August graduates participating in the December commencement ceremony must attend the Grad Finale event in October.
